The Lower East Side Librarian Reading Log, also coming soon to a mailbox near you. The reading log is part of the Winter Solstice Shout Out and also a standalone publication that mostly goes to family members instead of the Shout Out, and when I'm especially neurotic, to friends, as well.

It's reviews/descriptions of all the books I've read between December 2006 and December 2007, plus a short tribute to Kurt Vonnegut (RIP).

This year I read 78 books, 83% of which were written by women and 37% by people of color.

55 were novels, 20 memoir, and 3 non-fiction.

13 were rereads.

11 were children's/tween/YA (Not sure which category for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows).

4 were graphic novels or cartoons.

I also review some magazines and blogs. I no longer include zine reviews in LESL, publishing them in The Best Zine Ever instead. But what's up with Greig now that he's not the librarian at the IPRC anymore? Will he still edit BZE???
