You can now order a copy of The Borough Is My Library, the zine Alycia Sellie created for the Desk Set Biblioball 2009.

With its three color silkscreen cover, it's a bargain at $3-7 sliding scale, and proceeds will go to Literacy for Incarcerated Teens.

Here is a brief report back on the NY Art Book Fair Conference at which Alycia Sellie, Susan Thomas and I presented.

In case y'all haven't noticed, Alycia is now blogging on her very own Drupal site. "This site is a place to share information pertinent to my life as a radical art librarian and a place to practice using drupal and monkey with technology from the home base in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn."

Heather Davis led a discussion on Zine Preservation—mostly theory, but a good bit of practice, as well. Alycia Sellie's Zine Anatomy was a show and tell and discuss on some of the different art techniques used in zine making.

Last weekend I attended the Women, Action & the Media conference at MIT in Cambridge, MA. It was generally empowering and exciting to be at an activist event with a probably 90%+ female population--to learn about all the inspiring work being done, especially by young and youngish women of color.
