Obligatory year end round up: books

I can't remember what I did this year, but since I track my reading, I'll share some highlights from my year in books. This goes from December 1, 2007 to November 30, 2008. (November has 30, right?)

I read, or at least got most of the way through 98 books.
82 of them were written or edited by women.
20 were by people of color.
12 were by queer authors or had strong queer characters.
10 were non-biography non-fiction.
19 were biographies or autobiographies.
17 were children's or young adult books.

Highly recommended (in the order I read them)...

78 books, 4 magazines, 20+ blogs, and a Kurt Vonnegut tribute

The Lower East Side Librarian Reading Log is also coming soon to a mailbox near you. The reading log is part of the Winter Solstice Shout Out and also a standalone publication that mostly goes to family members instead of the Shout Out, and when I'm especially neurotic, to friends, as well.

It's reviews/descriptions of all the books I've read between December 2006 and December 2007. ...
