Radical Cataloging: the Book

Radical Cataloging: Essays at the Front, edited by K.R. Roberto, which is coming out this summer now has its Table of Contents online. My article, which I'll sooner or later post here in its pre-print version is "AACR2—Bendable but Not Flexible: Cataloging Zines at Barnard College."

1st LJ Zine Reviews Column

The first Library Journal zine reviews column is out!!!

The print version has a cover image of Sugar Needle. The online links to a couple of the zines' websites. Other than that I think the online is comparable content-wise.

Conferences, March-May 2008

I'm attending and likely presenting at three conferences this spring, and I'm excited about each one in a way I rarely do about certain giant conferences that meet in such asinine places as Anaheim, California.

These most excellent events are:
The Grassroots Media Conference in NYC on Sunday March 2
Women, Action & the Media in Cambridge, Mass. March 28-30
GLBT ALMS in NYC May 8-10

78 books, 4 magazines, 20+ blogs, and a Kurt Vonnegut tribute

The Lower East Side Librarian Reading Log is also coming soon to a mailbox near you. The reading log is part of the Winter Solstice Shout Out and also a standalone publication that mostly goes to family members instead of the Shout Out, and when I'm especially neurotic, to friends, as well.

It's reviews/descriptions of all the books I've read between December 2006 and December 2007. ...
